About me

I am a dedicated and passionate educator who believes technology integration in the primary grades is crucial to creating 21st century, global citizens. Our youngest learners have grown up with technology; it is what they know. It is my belief that they need to be provided with meaningful experiences that allow them to:
  • creatively and collaboratively show what they know
  • globally connect to the world outside the classroom
  • think critically and problem solve on a daily basis.
I am an Apple Distinguished Educator (Class of 2015), a Seesaw and Book Creator Ambassador, Epic! Master Teacher and a member of the CopernicusEd Idea Lab. I have presented at numerous district, local, and state technology conferences including the Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association Conference (WEMTA), the Summer Instructional Technology Academy (SITA), and the CESA 11 TEACH Consortium. I also am the creator of the monthly #EpicPals collaborative reading project for K-3rd graders. You can read more about this on the blog or at the Twitter link above.
Last year, I took on a new role as an Elementary Digital Learning Specialist in the Pulaski School District where I am also a member of our district's Apple Core Technology Team and K-5 Coding Committee. Prior to my taking this position, I taught 1st grade for 14 years, which is and always will be near and dear to my heart. I also taught second grade for 5 years.
